Check your statup items against Sysinfo's list: http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php

We've mentioned it before, but never here, so here it is for reference.

In this list if there is a "X" next to the application does that mean that I do not need that application running on my machine? If so how can I stop the application from start up on my machine. I have been hunting for a list like this for a long time because I am cerious about some of the applications that run under task manager in windows. I thought svchost.exe was a windows file. I would like to stop any and all application that do not need to be running.

This board is full of great information. I have downloaded Zenith Picture Gallery and hope to get that up and running in the next two days.

Thanks for joining. And of course, if you have any questions about the gallery script, just post in the forums original.gif
