Somebody has accidentally downloaded something from Yahoo on to my PC (I think it was the yahoo toolbar). I uninstalled the toolbar but am still left with a Yahoo logo in the top right corner of Internet Explorer.

Does anybody know what this and what it does. And how do I get rid of it. Have attached screenshot of my browser below:

Yes, I thought the solution might involve some jiggery-pokery with the registry! blushing.gif Which is why It's probably best left alone. Am I right in assuming that the logo is harmless and has no hidden purpose apart from advertisng?

Yep. I only recently signed up for cable with Comcast and to my surprise, their software plastered their company name and logo all across IE.

Yeah I know what you mean. this will help out too. I really haven't thought about changing it back since I rarely use IE.

Hi,
Have you looked in View at the top of the page then toolbars see if anything is ticked of yahoo, I have one in mine which says " yahoo companion" if I put a tick next to that I get what you have so I leave it unticked
