Has anyone here ever built their own arcade machine. I hear on the internet it's really easy but I would like to hear it from someone here. (Y'know, make me feel better). I just thought it would be cool to play an Arcade Perfect version of Mortal Kombat 1 and 2 and so on.

How do u want to retrieve scores from within the game without the game source code?

I don't understand what you mean. What I heard you can do is build a cabinet and then stick a computer inside with an emulator installed on it.

I've been meaning to build an arcade for some time. What I thought I'd do is buy the sticks and buttons from the Internet (eBay had a few up for auction last time I checked) and then wire them up with the proper schema and plug them into USB ports.

You could then write a nice console application to switch between the different emulators.

It's really a worthwhile project. thumbs_up.gif

You make it sound so easy sad.gif

Wish i could do that. I would love to make one.

I used to have a cabinet with a wrestling game in it, this was quite a long time ago though. Good times biggrin.gif

But then it broke :'(

But it would definetly be a worthwhile project
