From my laptop I can connect to my desktop by everything: Remote desktop, file networking and everything basically... Now from my desktop I could connect to my laptop the same way, everything worked. But recently, I think someone tampered with the laptop, and changed something because from my desktop I cannot get access to my laptop through the network. I checked everything...I even tried turning off the windows firewall. No change. It denies my access...I am trying to connect using my username and password that has admin rights, and i am sure that they are correct because locally, those credentials work. So when I go to start --> Network, I can see all the computers that have network discovery on and that includes my laptop. When I try to connect by double clicking, it asks me for a username and password and disables the username field and uses the last username tried, that being the administrator, because before this thing worked... Here is the picture of what it looks like:

Then when I put the right password for the Administrator it comes with a message that I don't have access rights and then it just closes the window. I tried other usernames by going to users in control panel and "manage your network passwords", but it still says the same thing:

All I want to know is what happened and what settings had been changed so that I can change them back and make everything work again...
By the way I have an old laptop (UNUSED) that I have XP on and I tried getting on to the laptop and the exact same thing happened, only that it was using "Guest" as the username and I couldn't change it...so it IS the laptop's settings....something is not right and I need help.
Thank you all for taking your time and helping everyone
