Full Version: Constant Reboot During Repair

I've been trying to remove the Vitrumonde spyware/malware and I was able to remove it all but I think some of my windows based files were corrupted while the spyware was on my computer. After running all of my cleaning programs in safe mode, I put the disk in, restarted the computer and booted to the CD. However, as I pushed "R" to repair the partition, I remembered that I left computer to reboot to Safe Mode . Since pushing F8 doesn't give me the the option to reboot to safe mode/safe mode with networking or last good config, so I use MSCONFIG and select the "/SAFEMODE" option under BOOT.INI. Well, now SetUp is trying to do it's thing and since it can't do it in safe mode, it backs out and restarts itself trying again and again, only failing each time.

I don't know what to do so I can go back and uncheck the "/SAFEMODE" option so I can finish. I've tried to remove the CD, boot it up, but it still tries to run setup. What can I do? And remember, I can't just push F8 and it's fixed, that option doesn't work.

Thanks
