I am trying to get a wireless network to reach from one end of a farm to another.
Right now we have two barns able to connect to the one router, but we cannot get the third to connect.
I have the modem connected to a Netgear 108Mbps Wireless Firewall Router WGT624 v2. From this we can connect three computers over about 50 feet of distance.
However, we want an Access Point in the barn, that will bridge the gap between the modem and an out of range barn.
I have walked with my laptop and the connection is lost somewhere between the two locations, and I thought that an Access Point might be able to extend the wireless network.
However, the instructions with the Access Point only explain how to connect it to a modem and not to an existing wireless signal. I already have a few of these Linksys 2.4Ghz Wireless G Access Points.
How would I go about connecting the Access Point to the signal and extending the network?
