I'm having a bit of difficulty fixing a wireless router.
It's for my own home, and it's no longer letting me connect wirelessly to the internet. If I plug a LAN cable into it and run it to my PC, however, it works. So my modem and even the router are working properly, but there's some issue with either the settings on my PC or on the router itself.
It was working fine about a week ago until my buddy brought over his laptop and connected to the network. He is not very tech savvy and had difficulty connecting, but eventually got it to work without my help. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the network changed names and that's when my troubles began. I could connect to the router, but I would get the error message "This connection has limited or no connectivity." He claimed he didn't do anything to change any settings.
I tried to mess with my system settings, but I fear I may have muddled in something out of my league and messed my own PC's connection up. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but I don't know jack about networking and routers beyond the basics of setting one up.
Any help is appreciated!

Hey all, I'm looking for a program that will convert MP3's to WAV's, and that is free.
I used to use AltoMP3 Maker, but had to reformat. I go to download it again, and apparently it's not shareware anymore.
Does anyone know of a good, free program for that purpose?

I keep getting messages through the windows server like this:
Critical System Error!
Registry may be infected and or corrupted
Please go to www.msregistrycleaner.com to scan and repair the registry.
That wasn't a verbatium copy, but I'm getting 5-10 of these every 30 minutes.
I'm pretty sure this is spyware because several other similar messages appear, telling me to go to other url's, such as www.regfix.com.
I've run spybot, and ad-aware. They found things, but this problem still persists. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

I'm trying to find a plugin for Firefox to play .asf files in the backgrounds of webpages. The tab at the top will say "Additional plugins required to view all media on this page." And then there will be a button to search for suitable plugins, but none are ever found.
Anyone know where I can find these plugins?
