confuse on which motherboard to buy

since ASUS and ABIT is recomended majority by most ppl..then i'll get it....


the problem is my processor cant support the 865 or the 875 chipset. My processor speed is only 1.70 GHz(intel). So i gotta get the older MOBO which have 845 chipset...

So it is still da same rite? intel 845 chipset on ASUS and Abit??
I mean for gaming?

I also wish to ask which model of ASUS and ABIT which is recomended which uses the 845 chipset(intel)...?

is the ASUS P4PE-X i845PE 800MHZ good? what DDR speed does it support?

or ABIT BE7-RAID/i845PE/DDR 333?
or perhaps

ABIT BH7/INTEL845E/DDR400/8OOMHZ SATA

also wats is the Front Side Bus(FSB) means?

mine is a 400MHzFSB processor ....can i get a MOBO with a 800MHz FSB or do i need to get a 400Mhz one??

Pc restarting without reasons

Hello there, my name is Eddy and i hope anyone out there can help me.
About 3 weeks ago, my pc suddenly restarts without reasons. Everytime when i go into windows and play some games,listening to mp3, the pc suddenly restarts. The pc restarts without first giving and error message or indication, it just restarts. Sometimes, if i switch on my pc, the problem doesnt occur. It is impossible to be virus/worm infection as i did not connect my pc to the internet. I tried reformating my pc and tried installing windows xp,windows 98,and windows 2000,but the problem still occurs. I tried sending it to two shops, but they said that there is nothing wrong with my pc, but when i bring it back, the problem arouse again and again. Maybe it is because 1 plug is shared by 3 pcs. But i tried using a single plug, and the problem still happens. Now the worst thing is that, when i switch on my pc, the hard disc give some sounds and there is silence. Nothing happens. I tried restarting it, but it is the same. It cant even enter BIOS mode more ever windows. PLease help me :'( . I really do not know what the problem is.

RAM : 512 SD RAM
Graphic Card : GForce 4 MX440 64 MB
Monitor : UNknown brand (the display is a bit dark)something wrong with it. Cant

Key Board : Ordinary one
Hard disc : Maxtor 30Gb
sound card : 5.1 Unknown Taiwan brand
Modem : 56 kbps internal
