Ideas for new version

Ideas for the next version....


1) a total overview of all rankings given to the pictures? (in list form)

2) a lil frame with the highest ranked photo? or a top 10 list or something

i ask for this option, cause right now its fun to rate the pictures, but for what result or outcome? the way it is now, its kinda 'useless' to rate.....

oh... and maybe extend the rate scale to 10?

3) And would it be possible to have a special way for like to have a competition.....
(( then above things are important too))

4) a way to take the (mark for) 'download picture' option out and a 'security' that pictures cant be downloaded...

oh and with my gallery its proven that sometimes someone with a stuck id, can vote more then once.... odd but true......

so maybe also a idea that to make a mark, that guest cant vote, only members..... and a better implented ip checker?

im currious to what you think of all these idea's and if you tend to use them

Questions about the Gallery

first:

Why cant there be a option, that people can see the gallery, but only members can upload....

cause now its really or one way (( members only)) or the other way (( everyone ))


secondly:

why cant i prevent people from downloading images that are in the gallery? cause now they can, even if i put the categorie rights to not download?

please help?

problem getting the DB setup it seems

i uploaded the whole bunch, chmodded where needed, but have a problem with the database, i had to make it myself cause i cant use the direct commands at me server. so i created a empty db called zenith.mdb and placed it in the database map on me server...

now when i try to run the installer it keeps giving me:
Sorry, unable to connect to MySQL. [Back to installation]

ive tried localhost and different settings like

www\my.server.com\database

but no luck sofar......

so please, help is wanted :)
