Hello everyone.
I just recently got connected to cable internet. A few days ago, I gave my Ethernet card to someone else, then purchased another for myself. Before taking out my first card, I didn't do an uninstall properly (at all), just pulled the card. So, now I have a Network card #2, when it should be #1. Is there a way to correct this without pulling/uninstalling the card? It's D-Link DFE 528 TX Fast 10/100, connected to a D-Link DI-604 Router. The reason I'm asking is FireFox is giving me "server cannot be found" messeges every second site I visit. I have to hit Retry about 3 or 4 times to get the page to load. Another reason is I can't seem to connect to a second computer also connected to the router. I have a feeling the network settings aren't right for our computers to communicate.
Thanks in advance.
