Well...my phone is kinda stupid. It only plays MIDI files but if you just rename the file ending from MP3 to MID it will play it! cool.gif So, technically it is a MID file but it was a MP3.

You can't compress an mp3 & 30kb is so small for an mp3. forget it.

If u convert it to FM quality (64kbps), 4 seconds of it would take about 30 kb.

I use an older version of dbPowerAmp which used to be free. Now it's trial. It's use is straightforward.

if you have NERO suite then there is a WAV editor with that i crop songs to good bits etc then compress them down a bit...
have you tried that option?
