first:

Why cant there be a option, that people can see the gallery, but only members can upload....

cause now its really or one way (( members only)) or the other way (( everyone ))

secondly:

why cant i prevent people from downloading images that are in the gallery? cause now they can, even if i put the categorie rights to not download?

please help?

Sorry for the late reply.

1. You can disable guest uploads in the Admin CP and achieve that.

2. hmm...What do you mean? Are you referring to the 'Mark for download' feature?

yes, i dont want people to be able to download any of the pictures placed on the gallery but there is no option for it.....

brings me to another thing, maybe a idea for the next version....

1) a total overview of all rankings given to the pictures? (in list form)

2) a lil frame with the highest ranked photo? or a top 10 list or something original.gif

i ask for this option, cause right now its fun to rate the pictures, but for what result or outcome? the way it is now, its kinda 'useless' to rate.....

oh... and maybe extend the rate scale to 10?

For now, you may want to just delete marked_pics.php. Hopefully, I'll have some free time over the weekend and post a proper solution for you.

I think they're very good suggestions. You might also want to add them to the 'user suggestion' thread, which I normally go through just before working on a new release.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but where in Admin CP can you disable guest uploads - I just can't see the setting. I'm on v0.9.

Thanks

Paul

In Setup & Config, disable "Allow user uploads". Members should still be able to upload files, but guests won't be able to.

Thanks for the quick reply - that does take away the Add button for guests which is what I was trying to do.
