I live in a flat of six people and we want to share our broadband connection wirelessly. We have bought a Netgear 54mbps wireless router, but none of us know how to set it up.
I have followed the instructions and got quite far, but the software tells us simply that there is an network setting problem with the IP address.
I don't know what I'm doing and would appreciate any help at all.

Just to make sure:

Make sure you all have compatable Wireless Cards.

Make sure you have installed them properly.

Make sure your router is able to take 6 connections.

Make sure your router has power and "sees" the cards.

Make sure the software can see the channels the router uses.

Write back if you have done all of this properly. biggrin.gif

We aren't all planning on using the connection at one time, but our router does have four channels. The power and connection lights come on and everything seems fine until the software is almost finished setting up.
I thought maybe the computer used to run the software and set up the router has the wrong settings or something? Or something to do with the IP address?
