Somehow, I managed to block all pop-ups., unfortunatelyI seem to have excluded links that "operate"? as pop-ups?.
So, I have a subject I am interested in and when I click on a link provided, the blue line at the top of my screen goes a bit brighter and then goes back to normal.
That's it...I cannot go any further into whatever I am trying to look up.

Any answers???

What software are you using to block popups?

Sorry, I thought I had responded, but obviously sent it into outer space (shows my computer literacy).

I at one time used etrust but stopped for this very reason; that it seemed to be blocking links that -I believe- were written like "pop-ups". Since then I have just used W98, and I even returned all my privacy and security settings to default to no avail. sad.gif

Hope you can help

Hi BG,

Is W98 a program, or are you referring to Windows 98? May I suggest that you remove any pop-up blockers you have installed and just install the Google toolbar from http://toolbar.google.com/

Let us know what happens.

Yes, it is Windoes 98. No I do not have a pop-up blocker.

I don't know how I managed to get this blocking started, and was rather hoping that you might tell me how you would go about getting this sorted out.

Really sorry to bother you with this.

Hi,
I know you say that you have got rid of popup stopper but still check....
When you go to tools at the top of this page, does it show popup stopper in the tools menu???
If so, click on, turn off popup blocker or set it to allow the site you want to show them

No. No pop-up blocker is set in Tools.

In Internet options - advanced; maybe I set something there that is causing this problem???
