Australia may well be the lucky country, but more often than not that luck doesn't extend to videogame conversions from the Japanese and American NTSC television standard to our native PAL. As we're lumped in with Europe and a large percentage of the rest of the world, we have to endure the agonising wait for multiple language conversions and the like, often resulting in us getting majorly anticipated titles up to six months later than our North American and Japanese gaming bretheren.
However, much like with MGS2: Sons of Liberty, Konami has been kind enough to bestow us long suffering PAL gamer's with bonus content in Hideo Kojima's forthcoming epic, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (in your face, Uncle Sam!). Though we still have to wait until next March to actually get our hands on it, the version we get will be markedly different to the package that Japanese and Americans are tucking into as we speak. The Aussie version of MGS3 will feature numerous new additions, including a new Duel Mode which allows players to play through the game's much acclaimed boss fights independently (and presumably once the main game mode has been completed) and also a Demo Theatre option, which will enable fans to view the game's stunning cutscenes in order to enjoy the many dramatic plot twists in order and to go back to see anything they may have missed. Apparently Kojima-san has plenty more exclusive goodies in store for us, and we'll keep you posted as the details emerge. See? Konami does love us after all. Don't forget to send them a Christmas card. |

haha that's good to hear. The reason everyone here mods their PS2s so that they can play NTSC games is because PAL releases have never really provided anything extra that would make the longer wait worthwhile.

The only game i remember that was better in Pal regions, was ICO by Sony Japan,When converted to Pal they added extra bonuses when you complete the game, not much but better than nothing i spose.
