I would appreciate your help with a problem. Every time I go to start explorer I get the following message: " Lexplore. This program has caused an illegal operation". It will give this message about 4 times but will allow you to enter Internet Explorer. Everything will be fine until you try to open a new page and the same thing will take place. I tried repairing IE5 but I get these messages: 'c:/windows/system/initpki.dll and cryptdlg.dll are missing or corrupt. I downloaded these files again from the net to no avail. I also get rundll32 errors when I tried installing ie5 again.
One other problem it is causing is that it has changed my cipher strength to 0. It seems to let me change it to 128 bit but when you reboot it is still 0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
I am sorry to say this but.....
I think you would have more chance if you updated your O/S, win95 is outdated

sad.gif Got to agree with Bob on that one!! W95 was OK 8 years ago, that's it. (and it wasn't that good then!!)

W98 was a significant improvement (but still hangs, freezes, crashes etc.).

Depending on your computer specs.; I would get a shiny new copy of Win XP
Home....which BTW will run most of the W95 progs should you want to!!

Looking at my shelf here I've got a legit copy of every M$ OS going back to
W3.1!! Bit sad really!! (Oh!.... except NT4 ME(bleh!) and XP Home ( I run XP Pro
and W2000Pro on the other machine)

Please believe me, Wickerman, you will not believe the reliability of XP....even the M$ detractors will agree!!
