I am trying to set up an identity for my wife in Internet Explorer 6. My ISP is ntlworld and I have set up an account for her and obtained an email address.
I have set up an identity for her in IE but when I log her identity on I get an error message saying that 'POP address ntlworld cannot be found' even though I am already logged on. She thinks I'm a real duffer 'cos I told her it would be easy to set up an email address for her so I'd be grateful for any help in saving my reputation. |

Thanks Paul, unforutately it doesn't help. When I go through the steps mentioned I get an Internet Connection wizard which asks for the outgoing and incoming servers, that's where I enter 'ntlworld' its accepted but as I said the error messaged then tells me it cannot be found.
I wonder if that's where I'm going wrong. P |

Success.
Thanks Paul, your info did help in the end. I was entering "POP3.ntlworld" instead of "pop.ntlworld.com" but now it all works. |
