Hello, I do a lot of travelling with my laptop and watch a lot of movies on it, due to a bit of overuse I guess the socket is now knackered and I cannot get any sound from it, I can get sound from the actual laptop but the headphone port itself no longer produces sound. Is a replacement a simple enough procedure? how much would I be looking at to get it replaced if I take it to a shop roughly? If anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear from you.
Cheers,
Dan.

Hi,
When my wife's jack socket packed up, I found it far cheaper to buy a usb headset rather than the cost of repairing it.
even cheaper you could get one of the following.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000QY2...E2BMYEV3BD3AHMG
