hello everybody and thanks for spending time trying to help me.
as i install the zenith picture gallery, on the 3rd step, everything is going well but now i get this error: CODE Creating subdirectories based on your map of categories... Error or directories already exist. Make sure that uploads is chmoded to 777 and that your server path is correct on the previous page. Finished! What you should do now is setup your gallery. Click here to proceed to the Admin CP. Or, [Back to installation] Warning! Couldn't lock the installer file. Please manually remove installer.php i went on, deleted the installer.php, but when i attempt to log in it tells me username and password are wrong even if i'm sure they are right, so i can't do anything. i don't know if these 2 errors are related, but please help me. ps: i have chmoded everything right. |

Maybe the password or username you were using had ether a space or an underscore in it, this has caused me to get the same error before.
I don't know if Ali fixed it yet though. -------------------- -Mad_cow |

Hi, If this is a fresh install, check your "uploads" directory; if the four default directories are there then you can ignore that error message. About not being able to login, that's come up several times by a few people and it seems to have to do with either the password not being set to the users table during install or it not being hashed correctly for whatever reason.
Can you check your users table and make sure that there is a record for the admin account you created during install, then let me know? -------------------- ![]() ![]() Things that I don't suck at: Photography (flickr, JPG Mag), "Don't bail; the best gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap!" -Randy Pausch I have people-skills goddamnit! Hello,
I have also the same error: Error or directories already exist. Make sure that uploads is chmoded to 777 and that your server path is correct on the previous page. The files are correctly chmoded in 777. In the upload folder, there is no file or folder added. One I have logged in, I can add category's (the file's are added in the upload folder) but then I can't upload file's. Error: The file could not be moved. Make sure you chmoded the required directories to 777. The folder that was created is correctly in 777. Can someone help me? Thx, Cedde |
