With Apple's announcement Monday that it shipped 1.12 million iPhones in the three months after its launch, the gadget's apparent popularity rivals some PCs. That has security experts warning of trouble, following revelations that Apple built the iPhone's firmware on the same flawed security model that took rival Microsoft a decade to eliminate from Windows.
It wasn't long after Apple released the iPhone in June that researchers discovered that every application on the device -- from the calculator on up -- runs as "root," i.e., with full system privileges. As a result, a serious vulnerability in any of these applications would allow hackers to gain complete control of the device. More here Well... it's said that this is the case on all PDAs but I know that at least those that run MS .Net Compact, follow a different security model. (don't confuse it with Vista's UAC which seems to be lame) |

I have to disagree with comment #7: sarcasm + rational, well-articulated responses = great article!

I have to disagree with comment #7: sarcasm + rational, well-articulated responses = great article! i have to disagree with post numbeeeer... 3. oh! it's you, Ali! anyway ... i had a hard time trying to skip paragraphs that are irrelevant to get to the actual article! but honestly, these are the same people who accused MS of 'war crime' because of the root user problem. |

I have to disagree with comment #7: sarcasm + rational, well-articulated responses = great article! I just found out that all of his articles are full of sarcasm that only prove the poor guy is seriously trapped by his emotions thus often biased and less reliable. here is one of the things i found very unfair: Outlook Not So Good ... Flash (the term is used to refer to Adobe ) has spent the last decade making the ridiculously bad websites and, most recently, powering the lowest common denominator of blocky web video clips. from here i'm so pissed off man!, oh no, i'm just mad |

9/10
This kicks ass. Ive been dying to set-up Windows Server Applications on a machine that is on 24/7. A bit pricy, but it is expected from a company like Microsoft. |

Apple is already in one of the top position today, I don't think they should run with windows now. They are completely right on their way and should look forward with the rival. I am sure they will go ahead.
Long live Apple. __________________ Fat Loss for Idiots Review -------------------- |
