Here i am again with some more problems haha, i installed ubuntu because i had never used linux before. I installed it on a Seagate external hard drive. Now, whenever have the hard drive in it will boot to ubuntu, i would use ubuntu but it does not support my belkin wireless usb adapter, i just select windows from the Boot screen. Whenever i do not have the hard drive connected to my pc, i cannot boot anything, i believe the error says GRUB 1.5 loading, Error 5. Now i have been searching the internet but i have not came across anything dealing with the removal of linux from an external hard drive, so i decided i would ask you guys...
anyone have an idea? thanks, piper -------------------- ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ![]() |

Sorry for the late reply,
But Mandriva has never given me a hard time and Installed beautifully and fast too. Hmm I would stay away from the one cd version because it didn't have a lot of the packages I needed to install basic things (ie. bittorrent) The free DVD version is fine though, -------------------- -Mad_cow |
