Here i am again with some more problems haha, i installed ubuntu because i had never used linux before. I installed it on a Seagate external hard drive. Now, whenever have the hard drive in it will boot to ubuntu, i would use ubuntu but it does not support my belkin wireless usb adapter, i just select windows from the Boot screen. Whenever i do not have the hard drive connected to my pc, i cannot boot anything, i believe the error says GRUB 1.5 loading, Error 5. Now i have been searching the internet but i have not came across anything dealing with the removal of linux from an external hard drive, so i decided i would ask you guys...

anyone have an idea? thanks, piper

Well that software lets windows read, write and see the Linux EXT3 and EXT2 partitions in My Computer, so you can copy all the stuff off the external to your internal,

Hmm the only way I could think about going by compressing all those files would just zip them all up but that wouldn't give you much savings on space.

It seems like you must copy to your internal then back to your external.
