Check out GameSpot's preview of Killzone 2 (PS3), which boasts among other things some very impressive visuals. You can see bits of the stellar lighting and shadow effects mentioned in the article in the attached images. The second one, created a by a fanboy, is simply for your viewing pleasure - thanks orochiagha! From GameSpot: "There's likely no other title in the PlayStation 3 library that's been the object of more scrutiny than Killzone 2. The sequel to the promising but flawed PlayStation 2 shooter dropped jaws when a trailer rocked the house at Sony's press conference at E3 2005. The flashy trailer, for the just-announced PlayStation 3, offered a tantalizing taste of the upcoming system's power. The years that followed saw the game and its flashy trailer dissected, with charges that it was just a CG movie that wasn't indicative of what the actual game would be like. Sony's blackout on the game in the months that followed didn't help shake that impression that what had been shown might not be actual gameplay. The doubts have continued to grow in the months leading to E3 as speculation on just what would be shown ran amok. A leaked screenshot and the ensuing Internet soothsaying on what a lone screen foretold of the upcoming game seemed to support the negative view of the game. However, Sony and Guerilla reps made a compelling case for why Killzone 2 might actually realize the promise of its original trailer at a press event on Tuesday evening." Read the full article here.

If Renzo were around he would surely be telling us how great this game would be. I'm far more sceptical, the first was just so average.

I felt, it was better if I play in on PC. Of course it has to be a PC with good configuration.
