Why'd you give up on Firefox? I tried Chrome the day it was released and it loaded Gmail significantly faster, and according to some recent test (forgot which website did it), it came out on top as the fastest web browser.

I am waiting for firefox 3.1 personally. It's very comparable to chrome (http://lifehacker.com/5044668/beta-browser...hich-is-fastest), but it also has huge community support and addons.
Chrome is pretty cool, but because of the slip up with the early release and all I don't think it's nearly as nice as it was hoped to be. It's nice, but has room for improvement. I just think it's scary how much google is dominating now, sorta like Microsoft of the web -------------------- |

Yeah, I've been using Chrome a fair bit recently. It's pretty quick, I can't find too many faults with it. I switch between Chrome and Firefox usually.

To me it just seems like an illegitimate child of opera and IE. I think firefox has much better customization options, a separate google search that you can change the search engine on the fly, the AWESOME bar, and bookmarks at your fingertips ABOVE the tabs (when I look at it, it seems the bookmarks and url are within the webpage itself, whereas with firefox I know when I click on a tab, everything below it is part of the webpage) . Not to mention chrome's logo makes me want to start singing the pokemon theme or make me want to pull out a simon says every time I see it. Worst of all, it doesn't come in black yet
I will give it user friendliness and speed (for now), but if they try to make it much simpler they might as well just target mac users in my opinion. It is nice to have the simple and sleakness, but where is the functionality? With firefox I know the weather, recent tweets and what music I have on without going to a page, along with the no ads and able to download movies off of sites with a click built is in nice. But they didn't push it to far, like lunascape has. Man, if you want every freaking option and browser engine in a single package go for it, but even I find it just ridiculous, I actually just run all the web browsers separately rather than deal with changing them up within that one. For me, as soon as chrome gets a black theme, more customization, and some decent add-ons I may consider it, but for now, firefox still owns my heart btw Renzoblade, have you figured out the firefox crashing problem yet? -------------------- |

yes sure google Chrome is the best browser, when i first downloaded it, my internet was running at a lighting speed, i even checked my speed http://www.ip-details.com/internet-speed-test/ and it was normal too, hitherto i used firefox which chocked my browsing capabilities .
But the only one advantage with firefox is that it has more add ons, which makes things much easier |
