In Win 9x you'd get your IP/DNS details by typing in winipcfg in the Run bar. In XP, here's what you do:

Type CMD in the Run bar
Type IPCONFIG at the prompt

To perform the winipcfg's additional functions - release, renew type:

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

For more detailed commands, type:

ipconfig /?
