Hi. I am using Gentoo Linux on my HP dv8000z laptop. It's currently having some problems with emerge some utilities like nautilus, bitchx and a couple others. Also it won't compile nachos. (A pseudo-operating system I'm using in a class). So i'm thinking i'm missing some packages or what not. But I was wondering if anyone can recommend anything else to me to replace Gentoo or if anyone knows what I can do to perfect my system. Thanks for your help. If you need more info let me know. original.gif

Hi,
If you cannot get an answer here, try linux forum on computing net. HERE as not many people use it on here.
Mind you, there might be the odd person here with a solution for you.
good luck.
