Could u review Event Viewer for any related error? Check the date of errors & post back with error msgs for today.
U need to fix this first. Changing the settings is of no cure.

Hi,
If it is a CRT monitor, Consider that the monitor may be on its last legs. also have you tried degaussing.
Disregard this post if it is lcd / tft.

Hi,
Degaussing is removing the magnetism, some monitors have a button for doing this, some you have to press the < > buttons both together. it could also be your video card either dying or become loose.

um i removed my video card ages ago since it was slowing down my desktop,im using the intel graphics controller 64mb now,the on board one.

can it also be a ram problem?,coz just recently i installed all these programs, that run at the same time,( windows defender, secretmaker, spybot ect ), my comps slow but i was expecting that

i unpluged everything and repluged all the cables, now my monitor doesnt go dark like b4,since my last reply, still no problems, plus the system error i got, happened again as soon as i pluged in my webcam via USB,asoon as i pluged it in,bang, the comps restarted. ( using webcam for Gran turismo 4 photo mode, only way i can get pics to comp ).

Well I have had a CRT for about 10 years so I don't think its burning out... unless they just don't make them like they used too.
