You missed all the fun. A whole bunch of spammers and bots joined the club while you were away and the poor mods had to constantly waste their time reporting them to the admin, who was too lazy to even lend a hand and put an end to the ordeal. Pfft...some people are just unbelievable...

hello everyone!
really surprised to see this thread. i was beginning to think ali forgot about the site and it was going to die a slow death it looks like the cpr and crash cart worked. I posted this topic in feb this year. it's recieved a ton of views and no threads. so i figured everyone was done and i was ready to leave. Lo and behold i've been around this site too long to do that...so as MaD_cOw put it i've been lurking like a creeper to see if anyone was still alive later |

So, we should jump start these forums again. I have a summer free to do nothing and a job that doesn't give me enough hours so I'm up for anything.
I think brainstorming about things we can do to bring back life doesn't work since it has always gotten stuck in the planning stages. I'm pretty sure that all we need is a promise by everyone that they will visit and post new content. Just think: You see a funny Youtube video - post it on Cyberiapc. You see an informative article - post it here. You do ANYTHING worth telling the internet - you know what to do. Also while I have all of you people here, we shall address the issue of the spam etc. Those of you with general mod powers you do your best to combat that vile thing that fills our site. Maybe all the other mods should be upgraded to this power?Also, it seems that Ali (The best admin of all time. ever.) is busy with life. This happens to everyone so once we get some people back into the forum I propose a joint admin team or people that could help out with the sites behind the scenes action. It isn't that I have gotten drunk with power lust, I'm not even saying I would have the capacity to take on such a task, it is just that one guy (even thou he is the best admin I've ever met) can feel burnt out and needs a break. That is where us long timers of Cyberiapc must rise to a challenge. This challenge is very simple:restore and propel Cyberiapc into the future with the strength and numbers to become what it once was. -------------------- -Mad_cow |
