Hello,

this has only started happening over the past few days, and only happens on about every 1 in 3 times I boot my computer.

Not to sure how to explain it exactly, its like a very loud droaning / humming noise. Sounds as if it is possibly coming from the front region of the case, maybe one of the hard drives.

When it gets to the Windows desktop it basically calms down and is fairly normal again.

Does anyone have any clues as to what this is and if there is any eradication process.

Thanks guys,

Daniel.

Hi,
Before everyone starts telling you its the HDD, check all your fans, sounds like it could be your cpu fan.
