Been switching between a few different books on UML, I noticed that UML, just like a few other concepts (javascript, XML schema, XPath and XSLT), is one that I don't really like to learn by reading lengthy english text. a couple of insightful examples could take care of teaching each new concept.
Recently I searched the web hopping to find an online short reference, and I quickly found one here that i think is going to save anyone lots of time. As far as i see it covers many types of diagrams and gives nice examples with short explanation. I never checked the official web sites for UML, but that would be the next step: http://www.uml.org/ http://www.omg.org/docs/ptc/03-08-02.pdf http://www-306.ibm.com/software/rational/uml/ Definitely they are not as brief as this one. |
