Hi,

I am currently trying to develop a prototype which I need to divide the page into two seperate page. When the user interacts with the left sidfe of the page nothing happens to the right side and the same for the right side. Any idea what will be the best and easier way to do that. I thought of frames but then I said let me check if there is something else around.

the second question I got is if anyone have seen around a php script where users can vote on a topic but each user are assigned to a group where each grou phas different weight of voting. For example, if Experts in IT voted they get double marks than normal guyz and so on.

this is all need to be in php.

After waiting for a while to see how really Wolfarm will be and how useful it can be. It's live today. I will do some more research about it but I am sure it's based on Semantic Web which helps it to give a much better result than Google.

Check it out. It's really intresting.

An Article to read as well in the news:

I think it's still not having enough data like other search engine but as alpha version I think it's really good and it will have a great future.

Hi All,

This might a bit strange suggestion but I was thinking this might be a good idea to have it in CyberiaPC.

For the last 1 or 2 years I been invovled quite a lot with Ontology and Semantic Web. Overall, Web 3.0 which will be the future of Internet and the debates is when and how everyone will adapt to Web 3.0. Semantic Web is the vision of Tim Berners-Lee (the creater of intenret).

There are many websites that talks about it but there isn't many community fourms out on internet that has sections for that (altought it's increasing rapidly).

I believe it will be a great idea to have a new section in cyberiapc that talks about Ontology, Semantic Web, Software Agents, Data Mining, etc. This can include adding articles and news, suggestions, new ideas, problems, etc. about it in order to let more people gets aware of this great technology that it coming to our life sooner or later.

I believe it might take some time for the people to know about this section but with time it will attract more people to CyberiaPC especailly if we start before other websites which will give us an advantage.

What doyou think?

Best Regards,
Ahmed

Hi everyone,

I am working on a website where we would like to have a video tutorial in basically in each page where it explains that page. It's really similar to a help section or when the user doesn't know what to do in the system he/she can refer to the video tutorial which will give him/her all the explianation for that section or page. The problem that I am currently having is that how can I create these tutorials.

I understand there are softwares such as wink which you can record your secreen and speak in the mic but this wouldn't meet the standart that I would like to have.

I am pretty sure there should be companies who creates these tutorials and there are professional who are trained to speak in these types of tutorials. How can I find these types companies? Also, how I was thinking who should write the scripts for those tutorials. It's very confusing. Does anyone knows how or where can I get professionals or any companies around to creates these video tutorials.

Best Regards,
Ahmed

I am using PHP, HTML, JavaScript. I need to do validation. I have tried for example this script

function validate_form ( )
{
valid1 = true;
valid2 = true;
check = true;

if ( document.form1.ProspectSearch.value == "")
{
alert ( "Please Enter Prospect Surname" );
form1.ProspectSearch.focus();
valid1 = false;
//check = false;
}
if ( document.form1.NoteGivenName.value == "")
{
alert ( "Please Enter Prospect Givenname(s)" );
form1.NoteGivenName.focus();
valid2 = false;
}

return valid1;
return valid2;

}

the problem that I am faceing with this script is that the first textfiled it works but when it goes to the second textfield it displays the alert but the it doesn't focus.

I have some other code that is at the same page. I wrote it in PHP. some part of that code works if you click on the submit button. by using isset() functin. I dont want the PHP code to work if any validation has occured.

anybody can help.
