That's pretty interesting, it looks like they used Ben Cook, the worlds fastest "text messenger".

I found this, a similar sort of race: http://www.nuance.com/news/amazingrace/
I'm suprised that multi-tap was faster the QWERTY.

Yeah good point, I'd be suprized if they got the same results for a good-sized qwerty keyboard like the ones that can be attached to Pocket PCs.

Hi,
They would probably still beat that, dont forget the chap receiving the morse gets each letter as it is tapped out, whereas the querty has to wait till the full item has been typed before it is sent.
