Ok, here's this week's question. Let's see what happens! Remember, there are no wrong answers.

Imagine you've been shrunk to the height of a nickle and your mass is proportionally reduced, which means you maintain your original density, and then thrown into an empty glass blender. You've got 60 seconds before the blades start moving. What do you do?

I'll post the source next Sunday.

In that case i would have got only a small percentage of my current brain cells & i wouldn't be able to think of sth smarter than simply moving around & hitting myself to the walls like an insect.

umm .. if i was the size of a nickel what would i do?

.. ya know, i'd be the most endowed small person ever :-" lol

well, seriously, seeing how the human body is made, and since your mass and density is perportional to your height, you'd prolly implode by gravities weight before the blender did anything to ya... however, if you reformed the question to allow for you to live for the next 30 seconds, you could prolly crawl into a small pocket underneath the blades and you could live, as long as said perportionality didnt cause the vacuum caused by the spinning to kill ya.. sooo either way, yer f***'d

I would try to hold onto one of the blades but at the top...because they would be moving slower at the top, then say the bottom because I'm assuming the blades are more of a triangle shape and get bigger at the top.

I've seen similiar pages to this before, muhaha!

But I would just lay on my back and wait for it to finish. If all goes well, the blender blades are taller then my stomach and myself, so I should be fine.

You would most likely die on impact if you were that small and you were thrown into a blender. Impact would hurt.

If I survived being thorwn in to a blende I would probably just let myself die. I mean, it's quick and painless death (I assume) and a pretty fun way to go. If I did somehow survive the "procedure" there would be no possible way to get out. Unless a lonely child comes a long and we become new best friends, but that's doubtful. sad.gif

I Know this is a lame answer but given the situation I would use the 60 seconds to pray to every god I can think of and hope that one causes a blackout or short circuits the blender.

And if not everyone enjoy Joe Soup!

BTW: Isnt this a Google Interview Question?

i'd grab ahold of the stem of the motor blade (assuming my arms would reach around it) and duck below the blades and sit down. That way the blades would spin and so would I, enjoying the ride

So here's where I got the question from: http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/to...=25&WhichPage=1

My favorite answer is: "I quickly realize that even if I get out, I am only the size of a nickel, and will probably never get laid again, so I place my neck on the blade and close my eyes till my 60 seconds are up." biggrin.gif
