Ok, does anyone know of any utility of some sort in which you can find out all of the specs of your motherboard. I would like to find something that can tell me the maximum amount of memory and so on. Thanks.

3GB of up to PC2700 RAM is the max.

thanks but let me clarify....this is more for my parents computer and for a friends. I have the original book that came with my MoBo when I put it together. I'm talking for when you don't know what type of mobo is in the computer.

Start -> Program -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information (I've forgotten the shortcut) has a wealth of info in it about your system. For BIOS and chipset info, I use BIOS Agent from http://www.download.com/BIOS-Agent/3000-20...tml?tag=lst-0-1, but it doesn't give details about the mobo make/model. And for detailed system and mobo information, Belarc Advisor (attached). It's an excellent program that produces a report containing lots of details about your PC's components wink.gif

Yeah I know that one, but there is another one that you can type in Start, Run. It's msinfo32.
