Hey Guyz,
I have a problem with my internet connection. Internet Explorer can detect that my internet is hooked up (and it is) and i can surf fine and do anything through a web browser. But when a program outside of internet explorer trys to use the connection it claims it can't detect that an internet connection is present (Norton, Spyware Removal Programs, Ect.) I've went through every setting and cannot see anything thing that would be causing this. The weird part is that this all of a sudden just happened. Everything use to work before??? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Just the Microsoft Firewall and i tryed turning that off and it didn't help any. I have all the updates from Microsoft including the SP2 one. I'm currently running Windows Xp. And yes auto update is enabled. If anymore information is needed just let me know.

Sometimes updates that are automatically downloaded from M$ (or manual SPs), can alter security settings or the firewall without user being aware & they can stop some functionalities.
That's all i can think of. Let's see what others say. |
