I am wondering if I can get some help. I replaced my power supply today and turned on my PC and it was making a beeping sound and did not boot up, what could be the problem? Could it be the hard drive?

What i know of when the computer beeps when it starts, is that there is something not connected properly. But i may be wrong, check to see if your RAM, video card and any other devices you have connected to it, are connected properly.

Well it beeps and will not stop Maybe I did not plug everything in........ I only changed my power supply .

make sure all the power plug-ins are in all the way .
make sure that the ram and videocard is in all the way. ..it could of been knocked out easy. make sure all the other things have power. also what power unit did you get and what is your current system hardware? |

I've also had the beeping problem when the bios has gotten messed up from the battery dying. How long did your pc go without power?

I got it back from my sister it has been with power for a loooong time! It was a old system

Can anyone help me with my problem ...... as i stated before my computer is making a beep noise it will beep for about 2 or 3 seconds and stop and start back . I just turn it on it is one I am going to upgrade......

How many beeps do you hear when you power on your PC? Also, are they long or short beeps? Well, CPU maybe? I doubt it but I can't remember what a long beep is. Try video card. Doesn't sound like the RAM though. But also if your computer is an old one you might want to change the lithium ion battery that's for the bios. I'm not quite sure how to get it out though. I believe it pops off but i've never tried it. Also make sure your PSU is certified for your processor.
