Hello,
First to post here besides Mario lol.

I need to find some good modular recording software for leapord (free or not)
I had my copy of Cubase SX but that broke when I upgraded to leopard.
Garageband is nice in the recording aspects but after that for mixing and output its just sucks.

Perfurably the program I'm looking for supports midi and has a Windows version too, but those are optional.

Garage Band would do it ... if you upgraded to Leopard you should have it..

if not Try Reason 4.0 Here

Reason doesn't record live sound only midi sequences so you can resample them.

Already have version 4, and its a Softsynth/sequencer

And Garage band Really is limited in the aspects of final production/mixing,

Still looking for a good alternative.
