Hey guys,
Thought I'd throw something back at the community. I found that the 'rebuild thumbnails' was locking up over 20 at a time, so I created a script that could be used on a per-folder basis with ImageMagick.
You must have ImageMagick installed to run this (it's a bash script)
It has VERY MINIMAL error protection, so test it first
Basic steps to use are, put the script in your path or in the folder you want to use it in, then:
CODE
thumb.txt jpg jpg _small 150x100

basically, scriptname <input extension> <output extension> <thumb denoter> <resolution>
It has worked for me to create the many thumbs i needed... Enjoy!
It does handle spaces in file names nicely.....but not much else
