HI,
I have been running an ABIT KG7 MOBO with 256(unregistered ddr) and a 1700xp+ Amd Athlon for a while now but would like to upgrade the processor. Does anyone know any compatibility problems with the Abit and say a 2000xp+ Athlon or a 2100xp+? Will i need to upgrade my bios? The 'soft menu' abit bios only lists a amd 1900 xp +.Should i select 'user define' and adjust the multipliers appropriatly? bugmaster... |

Hi there,
Check out: http://www.abit.com.tw/abitweb....sors%3F The rest of the FAQ's can be found here: http://www.abit.com.tw/abitweb....T_TIMES Hope this helps. I'm not familiar with ABIT mother boards so your best bet would be to contact ABIT directly or look through the FAQ's. -------------------- ![]() ![]() Things that I don't suck at: Photography (flickr, JPG Mag), "Don't bail; the best gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap!" -Randy Pausch I have people-skills goddamnit! Hi,
Why on earth do you want this kind of upgrade? The performance increase does seem very small to me. Better spend your money something else! Or am I mistaking? |
