Nothing Selected

friends,
i have installed new motherboard(D101Ggc) with P4 3.06 and new 256 ddr RAM( hynix,333 mhz). my harddisk(samsung 40gb) has already win xp sp1 in it. we have repaired with sp2 CD for installing of new motherboard.

but what i found that the system is booting a bit slow, desktop icons are opening slowly. overall i feel he PC is slow. as my PC configuration is very latest it should work fast. why is it not fast.

i also see a pop up dialog box " new hardware found, intel SMBOIS driver" which arises at the down right corner of the toolbar. what is this and what i have to do. from wher i have to instal this.

Plzzzzzzzzzzz help me.

cheers
arun

i don't know how slow that could be but 256 mbs of ram is really the minimum.

that smbios is sommething on intel motherboards. go to intel web site and find ur motherboard drivers.
