I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions at getting my 54g wireless MaxPerformance wireless ethernet card working on my laptop in Linux. I am using RedHat RHEL 3.0. None of the standard wireless drivers work and broadcom does not make a Linux driver nor do they give the coding to allow someone else to. I have tried using ndiswrapper to use the Microsoft driver, however, it seems to fail at wrapping the driver I am trying to use because it redirects to an executable.

A few ideas that might work if someone could help.
1. Does anyone know of a driver that is just the .ini and .sys files and such and the external radio program that goes along with it?
2. Does anyone know how to find out what files specifically are being used for the driver in windows (besides the sys file listen in hardware)
3. Does anyone know if it is possible to take the links to the executable out of the .ini file or something to that affect to allow for successful wrapping?

Anyone with ideas, suggestions, or info. on success at getting this to work would be greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem awhile ago when I was playing with Linux. I couldn't get ndiswrapper to work with my card (using a LinkSys 54G WRT54G G/B). I eventually tried a commerical wrapper from a company called Linuxant; WLAN DriverLoader. It did the trick. The only problem with it is that it is commerical and costs $19.95 USD for one license. It is also bound specifically to the MAC address of your card so it'll only work with the specific card registered to it. They do have a free 30-day trial so you can see if it works. Here's the main site link -
