Hi, i found a problem that couldn't be fixed by changing the properties. I get all my deleted data automatically delete. I didn't set it up like that. I mean when i delete something i goes into the bin but not it doesn't and i tried various changes of setting and still the data gets deleted bypassing the recycle bin. Is there a way to get it to go the recycle bin. I mean i somethings rethink a delete and would like to take it back out. Please respond.

Hi
Right click on recycle bin / properties, make sure where arrow points to is not selected, as in image

Assuming u have already done what Bob suggested, i would recommend a scandisk in Safe mode & also checking that ur drives have enough free space.
Then check if files u r trying to delete are not larger than the space reserved for recycle bin!

.....Or,... for XP, you can try repairing it from HERE Go to No. 64 on the right side click on Replace/Repair the recycle bin, save it to your desktop. double click on the icon on your desktop, it should then be fixed.
