Hi,
When you're programming in a web based language like PHP, where do you start? Say you were programming Zenith, do you start making the admin panel first? The add a picture page? At the moment, I'm thinking starting with admin functions would be best because it allows me to construct my program around the "power tools." I would think of making a simple gallery at first. A simple gallery without any extra feature or customization. Then decide what variables i want to be set by user. Add functions one by one, getting data from user to replace default ones. Only when all functions & features are built, i would think of designing a control panel.

Yeah I completely agree with amir. Start simple and then expand.

OK, thanks for your input!
 I've learnt so much PHP over the last few weeks... my brain hurts  . Still not too hot at it though. It's a bit easier than Delphi, I think... it just seems a lot easier to do stuff that's usually requires a lot of learning. I like it a lot.  Still have a lot of work to do on labSlate though. I've designed a new interface for it (took some ideas from Zenith aahaha) and... yeah. It's all coming on nicely. Have till the end of the month to finish it, so no rush really, I'm just about done. w00t. -------------------- My Projects: labSlate Booking System (Latest Release: N/A) |
