This tutorial is short and sweet. Its how i made everythingsbs Signature:

But the Fiber render is only available in Photoshop CS i think sad.gif

1. Create a new canvas thing... about 500x100 and do Filter » Render » Clouds

2. Go to Image » Rotate Canvas » 90º CW

3. Now go to Filter » Render » Fibers and just keep clikcing on randomize until you get something equally black and white.

4. Now go back to Image » Rotate Canvas and change it back to normal.

5. Now go to Filter » Distort » Wave just use default settings and click on randomize until you get something you like.

6. Now duplicate the layer, go to edit » transform » flip vertically and set the blending mode to overlay.

7. Press ctrl + e to merge the layers and then press ctrl + u and tick colorize to a color you like, and thats it.

I put an image on mine, and my name, just cant really see my name that well, but the tutorial is on the background.:

I chose Donald Duck since my little cousin is playing Kingdom Hearts right now thumbsup.gif

Hope you all like this tutorial biggrin.gif

Hmmm, what if you placed this (attached) in the 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop\Plug-Ins\Filters'

Will that work? ermm.gif

fibers.8bf only works if you use the plugin.dll from the newer versions( if you want it on older versions) (and I know this because I downloaded the demo of elements 4 and copied the filters)

First of all, great tutorial!
Secondly, thanks for suggesting the Fiber Filter download. Just a question about that tho ...

Is this true?
Has anyone been able to use the filter without the plugin.dll from the newer versions?
And if it is true, where can we get that dll? ...
