Hello all,
I'm having a bit of difficulty fixing a wireless router. It's for my own home, and it's no longer letting me connect wirelessly to the internet. If I plug a LAN cable into it and run it to my PC, however, it works. So my modem and even the router are working properly, but there's some issue with either the settings on my PC or on the router itself. It was working fine about a week ago until my buddy brought over his laptop and connected to the network. He is not very tech savvy and had difficulty connecting, but eventually got it to work without my help. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but the network changed names and that's when my troubles began. I could connect to the router, but I would get the error message "This connection has limited or no connectivity." He claimed he didn't do anything to change any settings. I tried to mess with my system settings, but I fear I may have muddled in something out of my league and messed my own PC's connection up. I'm fairly tech-savvy, but I don't know jack about networking and routers beyond the basics of setting one up. Any help is appreciated! |

Have you tried doing system restore to a date before your buddy messed it up, it may work for you. -------------------- REGARDS

Just tried this with no luck, still can't connect to the router via wireless. Hi, The only other thing I know sometimes works is.... there should be a reset on it, a pinhole, use something like a paperclip opened out to reset it, see if that works, if it does not, then maybe another member may be able to help you. -------------------- REGARDS
